Already, we have the third release from Over Recordings! An exiting debut EP by Wang, aka Simon Matthews, including remix collaboration by Jini Cowan and Tom Brady.
Over recordings, may be in it’s infancy, but is forging its way, head on, into the EDM scene, having already been given support by some of the industry’s most prestigious, elite talents such as Dubfire, Seth Troxler, M.A.N.D.Y, Terry Francis and Ian Pooley, to name but a few; not to mention radio plays across UK, Europe, Ibiza and the US. And a home page feature on Germany’s DJ Mag!
Love Me EP is a collection of three tracks based around feel good sounds with a twisted deeper remix.
First up is Simon: both the original and the vocal versions are totally gripping but have a refreshing sound which will be to everybody’s liking. There is a smooth flow of chords and synths, which together with a collection of other sounds, culminates into this outstanding summer track.
Next we see a collaboration by Jini Cowan and Tom Brady: this is a remix which gives the track a twisted and deeper approach; working on the original feel, but giving the sound a new dimension.
Aged 27, Simon is a south wales based DJ/Producer. A music lover since a young age, he has been influenced by all genres, such as Michael Jackson, Prince, Prodigy, Fatboy Slim to name but a few.
During his first year in producing, Simon’s releases have already gained support from the likes of Erick Morillo, Andy Durrant, Luigi Madonna, MunniBrotherz, Luigi Rocca, Ruben Gonzales, Rob Small, Nico De Ceglia, Dibby Dougherty and Michael Paterson.
Accumulating no less than eight label signings, big things are expected from this hot new talent, and his release on Over Recordings has to be his best yet.
Jini Cowan and Tom Brady are both based in Manchester, and releasing material left, right and center. Here at Over Recordings we are really excited to have these two on board with an excellent remix.
Up first is Jini Cowan: Jini’s unique style can be heard all across the world. Described as one of the UK’s most up and coming talents, she names Guy Gerber and Magda amongst some of her influences.
Jini has been featured in Tillate Magazine and Mixmag as there ‘One to watch’ and her remix with Tom is certainly ‘One to play’
Jini has had support from the likes of John Digweed, M.A.N.D.Y and Jason Heard to name but a few.
Moving onto Tom: having also been indulged in underground music from a young age, Tom has a keen eye for what’s hot and is regularly experimenting and switching up his style to create the next new thing.
Here at Over Recordings, we are very excited to have all three on board. There is no doubt that this EP will land on DJ’s ‘must be played list’, and we are sure that all three will be pushing the boundaries in the EDM scene.
